ARAB-BYZANTINE: Standing Caliph, ca. 692-697, AE fals (2.58g), Hittin, ND, A-3543T, Zeno-20556 (same dies), cf. Goodwin p.79, figure #35), full mint name, very attractive reverse, some weakness on the obverse, nice patina, somewhat crude VF, RRR. Hittin is still a small town in Syria, located just northwest of al-Raqqa, at the eastern edge of the Jund Qinnasrin, the Umayyad administration region centered at Aleppo. Very few coins of Hittin have so far been discovered.
