AR free pass (9.29g), ND (ca. 1890), 24mm silver free pass for the South India Railway Co., arms of the company (including elephant) within inner circle, with SOUTH INDIAN RAILWAY COMPANY LIMITED around // floral-shaped motif with "97" engraved on blank center, all within inner circle with "(engraved) Mr W. H. WOOD - FREE PASS" around, with integral loop and ring, plain edge, with wonderful rainbow toning, especially on the obverse, AU, RR, ex Henry Christensen, Inc. (with old envelope). Engineer W.H. Wood was one of the very highest ranking S.I. Railway directors. He remained in India until at least 1911, when he and his wife were invited to the Coronation of George V.
