M•METTIVS Venus standing front, head to left, resting left arm on shield set on globe, holding Victory in her right hand and long scepter in her left; in field to left, G. Babelon (Julia) 32 and (Mettia) 4. Crawford 480/3. CRI 100. RBW 1678. Sydenham 1056. Beautifully toned, perfectly centered, and with an excellent portrait. Struck from a slightly worn reverse die and with very light deposits, otherwise, about extremely fine.
