Caracalla, 198-217. As (Copper, 25 mm, 9.59 g, 7 h), Rome, 207. ANTONINVS PIVS AVG Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust of Caracalla to right, seen from behind. Rev. VIRTVS AVGVSTOR / S C Virtus seated left, resting left elbow on shield set on ground, holding Victory in her right hand and parazonium in her left. BMC -. Cohen -. RIC -, cf. 477 (differing bust type). Extremely rare with this bust type. Minor deposits and corrosion, otherwise, good very fine.
