SICILY, Syracuse. Hieron I. 478-466 BC. AR Obol (10.5mm, 0.59 g, 10h). Struck circa 470-466 BC. Head of Arethousa right, wearing olive wreath / Wheel of four spokes; ethnic within quarters. Sult pl. 1, 5–6; Boehringer Series XIIe, – (V207/R277E – unlisted die combination); HGC 2, 1372. Find patina, some roughness, slightly off center on obverse. VF. A rare obol from the famed Demareteion issue.
