Divus Vespasian. Died A.D. 79. AR denarius. 3.28 gm. 18 mm. Rome mint. Struck under Titus, A.D. 80-81. His laureate head right; DIVVS AVGVSTVS VESPASIANVS / Shield inscribed SC mounted on column with urn on top; laurel to either side, E-X across fields. RIC II.1 359 (Titus). RSC 149. Near Very Fine; nicely toned with some iridescence; scattered marks on obverse.
