William C. Allen became Governor of the Central Bank of the Bahamas in 1980. This is the final signature type for this type and was issued for four years before being replaced by a completely new design in 1984. Pre-2000 Bahamian notes of this denomination are notoriously difficult to find, and this example is no exception.
