CENTRAL GAUL. Bituriges Cubi. Circa 80-50 BC. Stater (Electrum, 17 mm, 6.95 g, 5 h), Abucatos. Celticized male head to left with thick and prominent curls. Rev. A-BVCAT-OS Celticized horse galloping left; on its back, eagle with spread wings standing facing; below, three pellets-in-annulets. DT 3457. LT 4173. SLM -. A very well centered and unusually attractive example. Minor areas of weakness, otherwise, very fine.
