Tibet. Theocracy gold 20 Srang BE 15-52 (1918) AU58 NGC, Ser-Khang mint, KM-Y22, L&M-1063, Kann-1587, WS-0184, Wenchao-31 (rarity 4 stars), YZM-1. Variety without dot in center of reverse. A highly pleasing example of Tibet's only gold coinage, minted at the newly established Luotui gold mint in Lhasa. The first year of issue, the present offering shows strong overall detail for the type, the typical swathe of striking weakness towards the center of the reverse, with an overall absence of cleaning or singularly distracting marks. More often found cleaned or mounted, and a fully appreciable representative for the grade.
