Republic Yuan Shih-kai Dollar Year 9 (1920) MS65 PCGS, KM-Y329.6, L&M-77, Kann-666, WS-0181-1. Fine hair variety, with Nien not connected. Phenomenally crisp and silky white throughout, this scarcer-date Yuan Shih-kai Dollar manages to turn heads in a way typically reserved for only ornately toned examples. Presenting full multi-point luster that wheels smoothly across the surfaces at even a slight tilt, hardly the least grounds for complaint exist over the piece, with just a few darker specks of tone and the occasional copper spot observed. Presently exceeded by a mere 15 finer representatives at PCGS out of nearly 50,000 that service has yet seen, and undoubtedly in the upper bracket of specimens we have had the privilege to offer.
