Republic Tsao Kun Dollar ND (1923) MS61 PCGS, Tientsin mint, L&M-959, Kann-678, WS-0105. Military uniform type. A highly elusive type, especially when located this fine, struck to commemorate the proclamation of a new constitution. This proved one of the few acts Tsao Kun was able to accomplish during his short and storied reign, and was effectively ignored as Kun became the subject of the Beijing Coup the following year due to his involvement in a bribery scheme that secured his presidency. Exceedingly medallic and perhaps a touch Prooflike, the steely expanses displaying ample reflectivity and flash, supporting as-struck, razor-sharp devices, proving itself as desirable type with notable eye appeal.
