People's Republic 8-Piece Uncertified "Year of the Tiger" Proof Set 1986, Shenyang mint, KM-PS19. An unimaginable rarity among People's Republic Proof set collectors, with less than a dozen trading hands at major auction in the last decade. Comprised of Fen through Yuan denominations and a bronze mint medal commemoration the lunar "Year of the Tiger." Each piece remains in as-struck Proof condition, having developed a scattered spot or haze from its time encapsulated within the original blue plastic mint packaging that displays moderate scuffs and a small crack. Despite this, we anticipate bidding consistent with the recent trends for such a scarce set. Accompanied by the original embossed white fold-up cover.
