Anonymous. Ca. 225-214/2 BC. AR didrachm or quadrigatus (21mm, 6.68 gm, 1h). NGC MS 4/5 - 4/5. Uncertain mint. Laureate janiform heads of the Dioscuri (?); with tall, narrow heads with angular features, curved separate sideburns, and indented neck truncation; dotted border / Jupiter hurling thunderbolt with right hand, transverse scepter surmounted by lotus in left, standing right in fast quadriga right driven by Victory; ROMA in relief in linear frame below, linear border. Crawford 31/1. Sydenham 64c. Struck from attractive dies on bright and highly lustrous flan.
