Chihli. Kuang-hsü Dollar Year 34 (1908) AU50 PCGS, Pei Yang Arsenal mint, KM-Y73.2, L&M-465. Long spine on tail, cloud connected variety. Very pleasing certification for the issue, accented by a mottled surface tone which amplifies the coin's eye appeal. While many examples of the type have been certified across NGC and PCGS, the numbers show a tendency to dwindle as one moves into the upper levels of AU and Mint State, making this a charming survivor before the issue becomes prohibitively expensive.
