The Order of Muhammad Ali was founded by Sultan Hussein Kamel to commemorate the Muhammad Ali dynasty. There were three classes (collar, grand cordon and commander) and two medals (gold and silver). The collar was restricted to heads of state and members of Egyptian and foreign Royal families.
