Cartagena, Colombia, Estado Soberano de Bolivar, 10 pesos front and back proofs, no date (1883-85), in PMG holder. SCWPM-S126p; CHPM-11730. The highest denomination note from the state treasury of Bolivar in Cartagena; full front proof and partially cut down reverse proof mounted on cardstock. This Hamilton Bank Note Company produced proof features vignettes of a seated Justice figure at left and a train at its station in the center. The train vignette, called "Waiting for the Signal," was not exclusive to this note and the placard BOLIVAR on the side of the train was added to tie the unrelated vignette to the location it was expected to circulate in.
