Charles I (1625-1649), Group G, Type 4.6, Shilling, 1646-1648, Tower (under Parliament), crowned short broad bust left, rev. square-topped shield over cross moline, 5.80g, 2h, m.m. sceptre (Sharp H3/2; Brooker 569; North 234; Spink 2804), central devices rather flat, nevertheless toned with typical flan splits to edge, only fair but rare.
