Rev, three line inscription with date, reads OBS: / NEWARK / 1646, 14.79g (S.3140A; N.2638; Brooker 1222). Handsome cabinet toning with a pleasing light slate grey tone, well detailed, small flan flaw to bottom of flan. Rev, legends clear despite some fade, few carbon streaks. Bold fine, an iconic piece of siege coinage, rare.
