Rev, crowned quartered shield of arms of the Protectorate, date above, reads PAX QVÆRITVR BELLO, edge inscription HAS NISI PERITVRVS MIHI ADIMAT NEMO (S.3227A; Bull 252; ESC 447). Toned with noticeably clear fields, the minutest of surface markings. Portrait well struck up, the graining on Cromwell's collar pleasing. Rev, strong in all areas, the fields reflective. Near extremely fine.
