Rev, crowned quartered shield in an ornate rococo shield, Lion of Nassau at centre, date flanking crown, reads MAG BR FR ET HIB REX ET REGINA (S.3425; EGC.359; MCE.147). Even cabinet toning, fields clear from any pitting or severe markings, the conjoined busts well defined with minimal soft spots, elephant and castle provenance mark well embossed. Rev, some carbon streaks, otherwise comprehensive. Good very fine, rare.
