Israel - Medal, Award for Outstanding Employee in Tourism 1966
The "Prize for the Model Worker" Medal was minted to be awarded to people whose efforts have contributed much towards the development of tourism in Israel. The bronze medal minted in 1966 for the Ministry of Tourism is the second in this series (the first medal was minted in 1962 for the Government Tourism Corporation).
On the obverse of the medal appears the legend "Prize for the Model Worker in the Tourist Industry", the State emblem, and the Tourist Ministry emblem (a cluster of grapes, based on: "And two carried it on a pole" (Number 13:23). On the rim the legend "Presented by the Ministry of Tourism".
The reverse depicts cupped hands holding grapes, orange, pomegranate and a wine chalice.
