Israel - medal "Jerusalem" - The Mayor's Medal for Official Awards, 1969 - With the minting of the signature of the then mayor Teddy Kollek in English

A special medal was issued for the use of the Mayor of Jerusalem, Teddy Kollek, awarded to people in Israel and abroad who contributed to the planning, improvement, restoration and beautification of Jerusalem.
The medal's obverse depicts the emblem of the city of Jerusalem, a rampant lion standing on the wall, olive branches on both sides. The word "Jerusalem" appears in Hebrew, Arabic (the official name "Urshalim El-Quds") and English.
The reverse shows a schematic panorama of united Jerusalem with the Old City wall in the foreground. The blank space below the ramparts is either left empty, or inscribed with a dedication in Hebrew or English.
No final mintage figures have been published by the IGCMC.
* No records are known to exist pertaining to the number of persons honored with a medal dedicated to them. Even though it is commonly assumed that for each recipient only one medal was inscribed with their name, dedication and date, a second copy (or even more) may have remained in the possession of the Jerusalem Municipality. Prior to his tenure as Mayor of Jerusalem, Teddy Kollek was the first CEO of the Israel Government Coins and Medals Corporation.
