William III (1694-1702), 'Plumes' Shilling, 1699, fifth laureate, cuirassed and draped bust right, the 'high hair' variety, rev. four crowned shields cruciform, plumes in angles, five strings to harp, seven billets, obliquely milled edge, 5.99g, 6h (Bull 1149 [R2]; ESC 1119; Spink 3517), small metal flaw on obverse before portrait and lightly flecked, otherwise richly cabinet toned with underlying lustrous flare, almost extremely fine, rare, especially in this state.
