William III (1694-1702), Shilling, 1700 'Tall 00', fifth laureate, cuirassed and draped bust right, the 'high hair' variety, rev. four crowned shields cruciform, five strings to harp, seven billets, obliquely milled edge, 5.94g, 6h (Bull 1150; ESC 1121; Spink 3516), even flecking across lustrous original surfaces, a pleasingly honest example of this frequently encountered coin, sharpened further by a hint of peripheral tone, perhaps a touch 'over-exposed' on the reverse, nevertheless good extremely fine and much as issued.
Estimate: £200 - £260
