Anne (1702-1714), Pre-Union, 'Plumes' Shilling, 1702, first draped bust left, rev. four crowned shields cruciform, plumes in angles, six strings to harp, obliquely milled edge, 5.97g, 6h (Bull 1386; ESC 1129; Spink 3584), a pin prick below eye and traces of rubbing to portrait, otherwise lightly toned, the reverse lustrous with additional flares of iridescent blue in recesses, a pleasing very fine, the reverse better still, scarce.
