Anne (1702-1714), Pre-Union, 'Plumes' Shilling, 1705, second draped bust left, rev. four crowned shields cruciform, plumes in angles, six strings to harp, obliquely milled edge, 6.01g, 6h (Pywell-Phillips 221; Bull 1392; ESC 1135; Spink 3588), modest traces of flecking both sides, otherwise most handsomely and uniformly cabinet toned overlying original surfaces, a pretty coin, nicely struck up, extremely fine or better but for a recent friction mark on cheek.
