Charles II (1660-1685), Shilling, 1663, first laureate and draped bust right, rev. normal die axis, four crowned shields cruciform, seven strings to harp, straight milled edge, 6.01g, 6h (Bull 500; ESC 1022; Spink 3371), heavy dark and somewhat unnatural tone on obverse, lighter natural cabinet tone with some lustre on reverse, a pleasingly bold very fine / good very fine.
