Charles II (1660-1685), 'Plume' Shilling, 1675, no stop before DEI, second laureate and draped bust right, plume below, rev. four crowned shields cruciform, five strings to harp, obliquely milled edge, 5.97g, 6h (Bull 532 [R3]; ESC 1046; Spink 3376), touch of rub, some hairline marks and sporadic flecking, nevertheless darkly toned with hints of lustre beneath, a pleasing very fine, extremely rare.
