Charles II (1660-1685), Shilling, 1681 over 0, A over A, and L over I, in CAROLVS, second laureate and draped bust right, rev. four crowned shields cruciform, five strings to harp, obliquely milled edge, 5.94g, 6h (Bull 554 [R5]; ESC 1061A; Pywell-Phillips 70; Spink 3375), a scuff behind head, otherwise lightly toned, fine / a bolder fine, the overdate clear, very rare.

Bull 554 does not mention the number of strings. Here they are very faint, but seem to be five. The errors in CAROLVS are mentioned by Bull for the regular date, Bull 553, and here they are for the overdate as well.
