Sailor weeping at sepulchral obelisk surrounded by flags and cannons, decorated with medallion depicting a uniformed bust of Nelson right; engraved on base, GALLANT NELSON/ DIED IN THE/ HOUR OF VICTORY/ 21 OCTr AD 1805; in exergue, TRAFALGAR / IN LIFE VICTORIOUS IN DEATH TRIUMPHANT, Britannia, holding spear and leaning against memorial urn, set on plinth inscribed BASTIA/ ABOVKIR/ COPENHAG; to right, Neptune, holding trident and drawing veil across urn; to left of Britannia, lion and Union shield; ship in background to right; in exergue, MDCCCV.
