Bavaria. Ludwig I "Royal Wedding" 2 Taler 1842 MS64 Prooflike NGC, Munich mint, KM812.1, Dav-588, AKS-104, Thun-81. Variety with date as 12 OCTB. 1842 on edge. Commemorating the marriage of Crown-Prince Maximilian to Marie of Prussia. Sleekly patinated and tenderly frosted over the devices, giving just the slightest hint of cameo-like contrast that strengthens its Prooflike designation. Only the most minor of wisps bound the certification, though even these require special effort to detect.
