MEXICO. 8 Reales, 1733-Mo MF. Mexico City Mint. Philip V. PCGS Genuine--Graffiti, EF Details.
KM-103; Cal-1439. Small crown variety. A very intriguing example of one of the most popular and collectible dates from the Pillar series, this impressive example provides light and even wear and some subdued mint brilliance throughout. An old and untraceable inscription appears in the field above the crown, though this almost adds to the uniqueness and charm of the piece.

An interesting side note to consider when seeing this piece is the date of "1729" engraved into the surface. Though likely a coincidence, 1729 saw the first production of Pillar 8 Reales, with the Madrid Mint producing a very limited number of patterns.
