BRUTTIUM. The Brettii. Circa 211-208 BC. Unit (Bronze, 21 mm, 8.18 g, 6 h). Laureate head of Zeus to right; behind, [thunderbolt]. Rev. ΒΡΕΤΤΙΩΝ Warrior advancing right, holding spear in his right hand and large shield in his left; to lower right, boukranion. HN Italy 1988. Scheu, Bronze, 45. Lovely brown patina. Small scrape on the obverse and die break on the reverse, otherwise, very fine.
