BRITAIN. Durotriges. Uninscribed, circa 65 BC-AD 45. Stater (Electrum, 18 mm, 5.92 g), 'Durotrigan E, Abstract (Cranborne Chase)' type. Devolved and disjointed laureate head of Apollo to right. Rev. Devolved and disjointed horse to left with numerous pellets above and a pellet below. ABC 2157 var. (silver). Van Arsdell 1235-1. Nicely toned and unusually well preserved. A few light marks, otherwise, extremely fine.
