LUCANIA, Metapontion. Circa 290-280 BC. AR Nomos (21mm, 7.73 g, 11h). Head of Demeter left, wearing wreath of grain ears / Ear of barley with leaf to right; above leaf, cock standing left; META upward to right. Johnston Class D, 2.2 (same dies); HN Italy 1613; SNG ANS 514 (same dies). Attractive gray tone with iridescence around the devices, a few light marks. Near EF.
