THRACE, Byzantion. Circa 240-220 BC. AR Tetradrachm (28mm, 12.97 g, 1h). Mensikos, magistrate. Wreathed and veiled head of Demeter right, wearing grain ear wreath / Poseidon seated right on rocks, holding trident and aphlaston; monogram to right, civic monogram to right. Marinescu Issue 6; Schönert-Geiss, Byzantion 980-4; HGC 3, 1408. Toned, broken and repaired, scratches, porosity. Near VF. SOLD AS IS, NO RETURNS.
