China: Set with six liquidation notes 1, 5, 10, 50 and 2x 100 Dollars 1935, issued by the Canton Mercantile Bank (Canton branch office – Shan Pan Kuang Tung Yin Hang Kuang Chou Feng Hang Ch'ing Li Tsai Chuan). The Canton Mercantile Bank of Canton branch office issued these notes for their liquidation. The rules for issue are printed on reverse of the notes, saying that there are 5 denominations $1, $5, $10, $50 and $100 but the total of issued notes will not exceed five million dollars. These rules were approved by the Treasury Department of the Government of Kuang-Tung Province on 6th November 1935. Condition: F+ to XF (small tear on one of the $100). Very nice set! (6 pcs.)
