Tortola - British Colony Double Counterstamp 4 Shilling 1 1/2 Pence ND (1801)/(1805-1824), KM7/19, Prid-1/8, F12 NGC. Counterstamp Type 1 "Tortola" and later privately stamped Type 2 "Tirtila" upon 1/2 cut of Spanish American 8 Reales. Ex-Pridmore lot#223 with the 1981 Glendining sale ticket, as well as an older circular ticket enclosed. Unlisted in Pridmore with this stamp combination and very rare as such.
