Ferdinand VII 8 Reales 1816 NG-M, KM69, MS65 Prooflike NGC. Very well struck with prooflike surfaces on a wonderfully centered and broad flan. Truly a gem uncirculated specimen, with the shield side being particularly choice and no flaws whatsoever. The proper Ferdinand VII bust type issued at the Nueva Guatemala (NG) Mint was issued from 1811 onwards, with a few pieces back dated 1808 struck in that 1811 year. Among the finest known of this popular portrait type and thus a perfect type coin for the quality minded collector. Mint state specimens of the Ferdinand VII proper bust type from the Nueva Guatemala (NG) mint are obtainable, but a MS65 piece such as the present specimen is worthy of serious attention from advanced collectors. This piece will undoubtedly attract competitive bidding. From The Isaac Rudman Collection of Guatemala Coins Krause catalog price(s) for this item: $100 in VF, $195 in EF, $550 in UNC, $1000 in BU.

Estimate: 3000-4000 USD
