Selections from the Eric P. Newman Collection of World Coins. Wurzburg. Friedrich Karl von Schonborn Goldgulden 1729, S.P.Q.W, KM294, Fr-3714, Helm-639, AU55 NGC. One-year type. Obv: Lion beneath canopy carrying a medallion of the Prince-Bishop. Franconia approaches from the right with gifts; a tree holding the arms of Wurzburg is behind. Rev: Crowned coat of arms. A gorgeously illustrated "New Year" Goldgulden with attractive glistening fields and eye-catching orange-gold tone. Limited wear is evident and there are no marks to speak of.
