Selections from the Eric P. Newman Collection of World Coins. Carl (IX) Regent Ore 1601, KM8, SM-23, XF45 NGC. Lightly porous surfaces as is typical for this series but with virtually no wear evident. Very scarce type struck during the Regency of Carl IX while his brother and King, Sigismund III, was ruling in Poland. The obverse features a large Jehovah in Hebrew.
