Thrace, The Thracian Cherronesos (Cardia?), (400-350 B.C.), silver hemidrachm, (2.58 g), obv. forepart of lion looking back, rev. quadripartite incuse square, alternate depressions deeper one containing a palm branch and a large dot in other corner, (cf.S.1602, McClean 4081 [Pl.148, 24], BMC 10, SNG Cop. -, HGC 3, 1437). Toned, very fine, scarce symbol.
