Thessaly, Thessalian League, (c.196-mid -late 1st century B.C.), silver drachm, (4.05 g), Larissa mint, Androsthenes and Aristokles magistrates, obv. head of Apollo to right, laureate, behind [EPI A NDROS/[SQENOUS], rev. Athena Itonia advancing to right, brandishing spear and holding shield, on sides QESSA LWN, left and right, monograms [ARIS] /TO/KL-H/S inner right and left, (cf.S.2234, BCD Thessaly I -, BCD Thessaly II 891.3, HGC 4, 213). Lightly toned, good very fine and very rare.
