Pair: Egypt Medal 1882-89, undated reverse, - clasp - Suakin; Khedive's Star 1884-6. 467, Pte J. St.J. Lee, N.S.W. Infy. on first medal, second medal unnamed as issued. The named medal engraved. Display mounted, first medal with contact marks and hairlines, otherwise very fine.

467 Pte James St John Lee, constable, age 26, born at Brighton, Sussex, England; Enl.23Feb1885 and served in NSW Contingent to Soudan; Emb.03Mar1885 on SS Iberia; RTA 23Jun1885 on SS Arab.

In 1889 James St John Lee was a police constable at Walbundrie in the eastern Riverina district of NSW. Then on 30 May 1895 he was appointed to be Acting Clerk of Petty Sessions at Walbundrie and later in that year was appointed Warden's Clerk, Mining Registrar, and Officer authorised to issue Miners' Rights, Business and Mineral Licenses, at Walbundrie effective from 5 August 1895.
