Canada, Group of Six: 1939-45 Star; Air Crew Europe Star; Defence Medal 1939-45; Canadian Volunteer Service Medal 1939-45 with Maple Leaf clasp; War Medal 1939-45; Canadian Memorial Cross (GRI) with neck ribbon, the last medal stamped on the reverse Sterling BM Co. The first five medals unnamed, Flt. Sgt. A.W.Goulding R-58347 on last medal. The named medal engraved. Fine - very fine.

Arthur William Goulding, rancher & salesman, born 17Feb1916 at Vernon, British Columbia, Canada; Enl.17Jul1940 as a student pilot at No.1 Manning Depot, Toronto, Ontario; to T/Sgt Pilot 07Apr1941; attached to RAF from RCAF, various postings; Coastal Command report states that F/Sgt Goulding 407 (Demon) Sqn RCAF flying a Hudson aircraft was involved in a flying accident 17Feb1942 at North Coates, Lines receiving multiple injuries and 6th degree burns and died; this was his ninth operational flight; Buried in the St Nicholas Churchyard, North Coates, Lincolnshire, England.
