Gold Proof FDC in the Royal Mint box of issue with certificate number 174 of only 181 minted, with just 175 in this presentation format. This the latest in the Great Engravers Series, featuring the stunning reverse design as used on the Gothic Crown of 1847. When produced with today's minting techniques, the frosted shields and background contrast beautifully with the brilliant background, the reverse with the date in Roman numerals, (mmxxi) in the style of the original Gothic Crown. Another extremely eye-catching large Gold issue in the Great Engravers Series showcasing the designer's craft, and with this tiny mintage, sure to be as popular with collectors as the previous 'Una and the Lion' and 'Three Graces' issues that preceded it
