(4), 444 pages; half-title present; printed title in red and black with finely engraved vignette; finely engraved headpiece; profusely illustrated with fine engravings of medals throughout the text. Binding worn, though sound, with joints cracked. Leaves generally clean and fresh. Very good. The final volume of the preferred French edition of this magnificent classic work, covering the years 1705-1716. Indispensable and still the standard reference on historical medals of this period.
