Paris, 24 avril- mai 1897. Small 4to, later black half morocco with blue cloth sides; spine with five raised bands, ruled and lettered in gilt; marbled endpapers; all page edges speckled blue. (6), 167, (1) pages; 1052 lots; 16 fine tinted plates, one of them double. Mostly hand-priced in pencil, with some buyer names recorded. Marginal staining to plates, not affecting images. Near fine. A very scarce catalogue, with exceptional tinted plates. Four plates illustrate ancient and medieval seal rings, two depict silver plate from the Feltre find, seven illustrate 15th to 17th Renaissance medals and the last four plates depict French coins and jetons. Grierson 292: "objets antiques, y compris des mŽdailles et des monnaies d'une importance exceptionelle, e.g. l'Žcu d'or de Saint Louis." Ex Alain Poinsignon Library.
