ALCHON HUNS: Khingila period, ca. 440-490, AR drachm (4.05g), cf. Göbl-81 for a related example, flat-back bust right, with ribboned headpiece and long earrings, ornate club behind and chakra (wheel) before, crude Brahmi letters above // traces of the fire altar and attendants; fabulous obverse strike, choice EF, RRR. Unlisted by Göbl, Vondrovec, Mitchener, etc. The only similar piece was a poorly preserved example sold in our Auction 30, Lot 52.
