SASANIAN KINGDOM: Shahpur II, 309-379, AE pashiz (1.17g), G-, SNS-A19 (style Ib1/4), standard obverse portrait right // half-bust, perhaps of the king, atop the base of the fire-altar (no fire!), holding a diadem in his right hand and a lance in his left hand, with a fravahr on the altar base and two more fravahrs left & right of the altar base; remarkable style, unique to the Sasanian copper coinage, perhaps from an eastern mint as the overall style is similar to contemporary Kushano-Sasanian copper coins; VF, RRR.
